03-10-2011: Monday Morning Kick-Off [MM-KO] Girls – Honey Bunny

Having a good week has nothing to do with a good start of the Monday Morning, yet it is extremely important to start this 1st day off with a great track to get you into the working hythm again. I'm a little slow today and will be late for work, but i had to share this great Girls-track. It has a great 70s-vibe without sounding ancient and it's all i've heard since i got out off bed 40 minutes ago. Have a good week!

02-10-2011: I Break Horses - Winter Beats (Bedroom Sessions)

It is not so long ago that I Break Horses was introduced here with the album-version of Winter Beats. But they're already back here with the same track in a live-version, recorded as part of a 3-track "Bedroom Session". It is the same beautiful song, but this intimite live-session is mesmerizingly amazing and only builts up the ever-growing interest of music lovers all over the world that are eagerly waiting to see this duo perfom their debut album "Hearts" live. I am one of those people.

02-10-2011: Lotte Kestner - Your Protector (Fleet Foxes cover)

It's almost as if i'm in church listening to this on a Sunday morning. The choir in church could only hope they had someone singing as beautiful as Lotte Kestner can, though. Another great cover done by one of my favourite female singers. lovin' it!

29-09-2011: Barn Owl - Turiya

Great song with cool vid that suits the track perfect. The song is (also due to the vid) perfect for a stormy night, where the wind and rain are beating on the door and you're inside listening to the storm and this track with a nice glass of Whiskey.

29-09-2011: South of Lincoln - 18th & H / Father, Mother, Sister, Brother

South of Lincoln has a great set of tracks out on Soundcloud and his own(?) website, there are different tracks on both pages, so if you're liking it as much as i do, i would suggest visiting both on a regular bases, or just get his album on iTunes (no other way, as far as i can tell..)
These here are my 2 favourite tracks; both very different, yet extremely good. And with that a good way to discover the talent that is South of Lincoln.

28-09-2011: EP Julia Sinclair - Slow And Steady

Julia Sinclair has released a 4-track EP which you get for free at her website and it's a good one. She has a strong, yet vulnerable voice which sometimes sounds like it's gonna crack. but it never does. she writes simple songs with just her voice and guitar, the lyrics ain't new or brilliant. but it works. sometimes it just does. Julia Sinclair's guitar skills are more advanced than one might expect based on the "girl-with-guitar" type that she clearly is and this is what uplifts her above the average, although that specific, clear, beautiful voice surely puts in some weight. Slow and Steady is the EP-title as well as the finest song on this album, but please don't stop listening after the opener, the rest is just as special.

27-09-2011: The Deloreans - Dandelion

The band responsible for my favourite album of this year (so far) has a new track & video out: Dandelion. It's good, and could definately fit on the album and you can download it from their bandcamp for just a Dollar by clicking here. Get it! Now! Damned!

26-09-2011: Monday Morning Kick-Off [MM-KO] Villa Rosa - Leader Of The Pack

Let's celebrate the beginning of a new week with this fine party track by hiphop-duo Villa Rosa. It's perfect for the little after-Summervibe we got going on in this country and it makes me wanna hang around in the sun with a cocktail.. who knows what i'll be doing tonight..? Have a good week!

25-09-2011: Album Hooded Fang - Tosta Mista

It's been silent for a few days on the blog, but not in the house. Most played record was "Tosta Mista" by Hooded Fang, a 6-piece band with influences from all over the timescale. Last century's 60s & 70s are probably most represented and they're making their own great sound of all of this. This album has FUN written all over it, they had fun playing the music, and it's good fun listening to it. With the shitty mood i'm in, this is a perfect album to keep me going. Singing & dancing guaranteed with this!

21-09-2011: City Of Glass - Tourist

This video is great, but i enjoy this song much better without it. The song has something special which just fades away with the images of this vid. I can't put my finger on the reason for it, but i know it is like this. You can hear more City Of Glass-songs on their website, The Divine Bell EP (which was released a few months ago) is very much worth it!

21-09-2011: Youth Lagoon - Montana

Incredibly beautiful track by Youth Lagoon. The vid is also pretty awesome, but the song is just about on constant-rotation since i've first heard it. His debut album is coming out next week, really looking forward to it, hope it's as good as this one track.
