This is such an EPIC track by Spanish rockband Neuman. "Battle Starship" is a dreamy hypnotic trip from their recently released album If clocking over 8 minutes and it's absolutely brilliant. I'd call this the Song of the Month if I did such a thing!

25-07-2014: Album Thought Beneath Film - Cartographers
Thought Beneath Film has released their latest record Cartographers in April and it's an addictive rollercoaster ride for your ears. It's a powerfull and fun record, so here's 3 songs to get you in the mood for this.
This album has that classic rock feel I always get when I'm listening to the 90s rock tunes from my youth. That's probably one reason I like this record so much. But there's also the pure fun that vibrates through my stereo when this record is playing. It brings a smile to my face, makes me want to sing along and dance a little, while I drink my morning coffee and play the air-guitar.
Any record that makes me do that is a fine record.

22-07-2014: Album The Tourist Company - Space Race
One of my favorite albums from 2013 was Brother, Wake Up by The Tourist Company. Two months ago they've released their new EP called Space Race: We wrote this record about the race to the moon and the incredible optimism in an idealistic future that went along with it.
The Tourist Company plays fine uptempo folksongs and the new EP brings us not only 4 new songs, but also a new band member: bassist and multi-instrumentalist Josué Quezada. with the addition of the new member the music has gained some depth and power. Not something that was missing on the last record, but it's always a good thing when a band tries out something new. For me, the new record sounds like an improved version of what this great band is capable of. I look forward to a full album in this new setting and the great things they'll record. Space Race is 15 minutes of Fine Music.

21-07-2014: Monday Morning Kick-Off My Brightest Diamond - Pressure
It has been 12 weeks since the last Monday Morning Kick-Off, I'm a little ashamed of myself. Let's dance on this grey morning to "Pressure" by My Brightest Diamond: celebrating (sort of) the last week of my Summer vacation before returning to work next week. 16-07-2014: Live Live @West.37: Andy
Just last week Matthew de Zoete played an intimate live show right here in my living room and next week, on Wednesday 23rd, it is time for the 2nd living room show. Andy is releasing her new album City Love soon and to celebrate this joyfull event she's going in a little tour.
I've had the pleasure of hearing her play live a few times and each time was incredibly beautiful. This is something completely new though, as she'll be bringing 2 band members with her and I can only assume she'll be playing a lot of new songs.

14-07-2014: sch 4th Anniversary
Today was a good day. A great day. For personal reasons, for music reasons. I have cried a little, I have laughed a lot. And will continue doing both for the hours to come. Another year has passed, great music has been shared through this blog and hopefully touched your heart, like it has mine. Let's sing and dance, think happy thoughts and discover more great music together for the next 12 months to come. Let's celebrate in style!
