This was on all the weblogs last week and the song is not really that special if you ask me. But the last minute or so is 1 great fucking party. It might also have to do with the silly arrogance the singer displays before the song starts, but this is a little too "wanna-be-cool" for me, that last minute though.. is ace!
The Marzipan Man should've released his 2nd album today. At least, that's what it says on several websites, but so far not on his own.. Above are 2 fine songs from that new album, and the rest is at least as good, so definately go check that out at playgroundmag.net, where you can stream the entire album. This nice, surprising record may well be the 1st real summervibe-album i've heard this summer (which technically hasn't even started yet..)! Lovin' it!
After a really, really, really great weekend it's time to get back to work. To really get woken up properly you may want to need a little noise (i know i do), so listen to this nice track by Gold-Bears and check out their myspace for a little more. Great little punkrock Monday Morning Kick-Off! Bring on that day! (and loads of coffee..)
Little Scream has released her 1st abum on April 12th of this year and this track 'Cannons' is sooo cool! You can check out 2 more songs on her website, and i have to admit that those are not as amazing as this track..
2 Great tracks by Telekinesis, both from their 2009-album Telekinesis! and 1 track from their recently released 2nd album called 12 Desperate Straight Lines: Please Ask For Help. Although the 3rd song sounds good, i prefer the 2 tracks above that are from their debut album. Especially 'Coast of Carolina' gets a lot of airtime lately.
Found this in the mail when i got home from work this evening. Off course i knew it was coming, but it was still a great surprise! Click here to hear this fantastic album!
Great song by Ben Sollee, ithought it was from his new album 'Inclusions' which comes out next week, May 10th, but i can't seem to find it on the tracklist or his website.. so nevermind the facts, just enjoy this nice track!
Instead of presenting something totally new after 3 days of complete silence, here's 1 of my favourite Stones-songs ever made. When i was really young, my father made dozens of tapes with music for me and one of the best was a selfmade collection of all kinds of Stones-music (my fahter has a huge record collection). Together with 'Paint it Black' (which was the intro-tune to my favourite tv-show at the time, that being Tour of Duty off course) this was my favourite track. I woke up with this song in my head about an hour ago, and the only right thing to do when this happends, is play such a track really loud. And so i have, and now so should you. Have a good week, that should be easy with this kinda Monday Morning Kick-Off!
Received a tip about this a few days ago and have been listening to this song several times a day since then. There are too many types of jazz these days to even try and figure out what i should call this, so i'll just stick to jazz. That's more than enough for now, isn't it? Visit their website for some more great tunes.
Another Summeresque song celebrating the greater joys of life (being freeeeee!!), this time sweetly sun by the ladies of Good Lovelies. They reminded me strongly of Katzenjammer, one of my favorite discoveries last year, but less gipsy. Which is neither a good or a bad thing. It's just a conclusion i've drawn. Less typing, more singing. Freeee as a bird..
